They're With Me Will Stay With You
I love this movie! They're With Me addresses masterfully and concisely all of our own personal feelings of nostalgia for the past, discomfort with the present, and anticipation for - and fear of - the future. Anyone who sees Rachel Fleischer's movie will immediately relate to the pain we must all experience in order to grow, and the powerful roles that family, heritage, and cultural identity play in that growth. They're With Me will stay with you!
Truthful and charming piece of work
I originally selected the film because I found the accompanying cover art so intriguing. I am glad I did because its a terrific little film. Its one of those short features that's so enjoyable, you find yourself wishing it would be developed into a full length feature. I really admire the writer and director Rachel Fleischer, who also stars in the film. She looks like she put some painful past experiences in front of the camera, but the risk paid off, because its a truthful and charming piece of work. Good performances by the supporting cast really tie this film together. If you think all short features are somewhat cheesy, amateurish works, check out They're With Me. This film is likely to change your mind and show you what short features can offer.
